Adobe DNG
DNG is the Digital Negative by Adobe. At this time I am not creating any DNG files myself but many photographers do create them upon import into Lightroom. I won’t go too in depth regarding DNG because the Internet is full of the pros and cons to this file format. Your Canon or Nikon or Sony cameras all have proprietary raw formats that require Adobe to continue to make plug-ins to read these formats. The DNG file format as an open source option to these proprietary raw formats from the camera manufacturers. Many photographers believe that some day you will no longer be able to open proprietary file formats because Adobe might get tired of having to create the plug-ins. So the suggestion is that you go ahead and create the DNG file now so you do not have to do it later.The content you are trying to access is only available to members. Sorry.
