Next, place a third, large umbrella as fill, next to and above the camera. The higher you raise the umbrella, the less light hits the person in the foreground compared to the person in back and evens out the distribution of light spread. So you can make your light more even by raising or lowering it for desired results. If you shoot another test and find that the left side of the group (farthest from the key lights) is still to dark, move in a couple large foam core cards or a large 72” x72” Lightform panel to act as a fill card.
