If your strobe exposure is not proper you can also adjust the power settings on the strobe to lighten or darken the strobe exposure. You don’t have to use fstop only and this is important if you want a specific depth of field and want to stay at the same fstop yet the strobe exposure is off. So you can use the strobes power settings to adjust strobe exposure.
