I had been doing photography for this client for years and they have many manufacturing plants around the states and overseas. My client would contact each division and inquire as to what they may have done the previous year to increase production, invest in state of the art equipment, or anything that moves the company towards streamlined production and increased profits. Many, in fact too many, said that we could photograph their new CMM machine, which is a precision measuring device. This machine had been purchased by all the company divisions for the same purpose and when asked what to shoot, they all said this machine. Obviously I could not do this for every plant we visited, but I would include it as one of the photos we captured at each location so the client would have options to choose from.
