Lets say the subject distance changes as you reframe your composition. At full power the flash says 15’ but lets your subject is 5’, you then adjust output level to ½, ¼, or whatever flash output power setting indicates proper flash distance point at 5’. Next take a test exposure and check your camera’s LCD/Histogram for the proper exposure. If the flash exposure is incorrect, adjust the f/stop or output level accordingly until it is correct. Also know that you can adjust manual flash output levels in 1/3 +/- increments for even finer control. There are even more sophisticated manual flash abilities on these newer flash units and your manual will describe those. The content you are trying to access is only available to members. Sorry.
