This is a very powerful compositional approach to many subjects in nature. Zooming in on a pattern or texture can provide some visually powerful images as displayed by this group. The Black Eyed Susan’s is a beautiful pattern despite not having one central star or element to the composition. There are no thirds, receding lines, just color pattern and it works nicely. The same goes for the maple leaves and sumac, simple but beautiful patterns.  The dunes are a pattern, but also fall into the Receding Lines technique, thus combining several compositional elements. The content you are trying to access is only available to members.
