One of the best approaches is to let the client set the tone and pace of the meeting. Let them ask the questions and you provide the answers rather than begin to ramble with a diatribe that is not interesting to the client. Only discuss each image in the portfolio if the client asked questions related to them and keep your explanations short. It is always helpful to pop in with an occasional question for the client. This keeps them engaged in the conversation and generally many of them like to talk about themselves or their work.
