This photo was the chef of the restaurant. Here I used a large umbrella on the left to create a soft light quality and throw light everywhere. I also used a large white umbrella for fill, but when placed next to the camera it created a hot spot in the door way behind the chef. The solution is to raise the fill light just high enough to remove the hot spot in the door meaning it is up higher than what I see of the door.
